Harley, Ancient Hospice Foster Dog, and wonderful friend, left us this morning at 9:15. “If that dog was music he would be the Delta Blues” said my father when they first met. So, with that music in our hearts, and many fond memories, we let him go. He had a difficult start, but a loved and cherished finish. Thank you Empress for giving him the most treasured gift of all – life that was surrounded by love – a final year that was his very best. Good bye Sweet Harlington, you made a difference, you were amazing, you were a walking miracle, and we are all grateful for our time together. Sylvia says that our dogs are waiting for us in the Summerland, so we will see you there.

Very sad to hear Harley is gone. As sad as it is, it’s also good to know he got to play a lucky hand and got some top dog quality time in his life. A little Missisippi John Hurt and John Lee Hooker playing off in the distance, Summerville? By the way is that south? I’m as far north as I want to be but if its down around Baja then put me on the “Not ready just yet list”.

Lol. Thanks Cousin Dan Dan. No, none of us are ready for the Summerland quite yet. It is the pagan version of heaven. Pretty much the same, only without the angry version of a white-guy god. Nice place, either way you spell it.
