Awareness

             How’s your week been?  A few ups mixed with some downs?  A little good with the bad?

             Yeah.  Me, too.  What’s been most interesting about this process, personally, is the visibility of it.  I’m definitely seeing* the levels of emotion and heart concerns.

*And by “seeing” I totally mean something more like a full mind/body/soul sensation.

             The lesson is absolutely about us counting our blessings and being aware of where our journey is taking us.  It’s focused on the plus side, not tallying up where we lack or miss out.

Knowing

             Similar to a recent message we received about Keeping The Faith, this one reminds us of the duality in life.

             Even in the most terrible of times, we hear stories of true heroism.  Even in our worst periods of darkness, we know that we’re never alone, we’re never without some spark of twinkling hope to light our way.

             It may be as small as thanking the Universe for being in a warm bed tonight, or holding the Knowledge close that we are not personally in pain at this very moment.

            (And if we ARE in pain right now, or NOT in a warm bed, we can still hold out for the promise of tomorrow.)

             Whatever it is in our lives, be it tiny and seemingly insignificant to us, that very thing may be what someone else desires the most.  We can be nothing BUT grateful.  With genuine hope for our future.

             Both the draw I was directed towards on our card altar, and what follows, make up a perfect validation.

“Believing in Magic  ~

‘True magic is abounding in my life!’

Card Meaning:

It is indeed a magical Universe.  Spiritual dimensions and mystical realms are only a thought away.  The key to opening these doors is to trust in something you cannot see or hear.

You can have doubts yet still believe in a vast and mysterious cosmos, where signs, symbols, and coincidences reveal secret messages.  Even if your faith is the size of a mustard seed, magic can abound.

Believe!

The Universe wants you to know:

Some things are true, even if you don’t believe in them.  It’s hard to comprehend how something as heavy as a jumbo jet can fly, but it does.

When you make an overseas call, it’s hard to believe that your voice travels into space and bounces back, but it does.

And it’s sometimes hard to believe that angels are looking over us, but they are.  

Here’s to believing in magic.

Questions to ask yourself:

How can I access even more magic in my life?  What is the most important way for me to step into true magic?  If I truly believed in magic, in what ways would my life be different?

Affirmation:

True magic is abounding in my life!”

             Everything about this resonates with me.  The colours, the feeling, the sentiment . . . . . all of it is what we need.  Take it with you, share it around, hold it close.  Be in Peace, as much as you possibly can.  I will be striving for the same.

Dynamic Improvements

             Not everyone knows this about me, but I’m kind of an earthquake nerd (or wonk, if that’s a term you like better).  Science isn’t my favorite subject, tectonic plates, however, definitely rank right up there near the tippy top. (Subduction zones!)

             I adore all things volcanic, lava, and mantle related.   Which brings us to our message.  There is a power under the earth’s stable layer, just as there is a power within each of us.

             Both are connected to the intensity of our universe, the very aliveness of our planet.  As are we, her children here.

Energy

             People talk about how they have a lot* of “energy’ or they are feeling “low energy” on down days.  What we forget is that the true energetic focus is never NOT there for us to draw from.  We can ALWAYS ask for, and get, more.

*And by this, I’m not talking about the drug-induced/caffeine-current faux jump-starting.

             We are absolutely, consistently, and without end, able to absorb that limitless Energy, refueling from a bountiful source.  Regardless of your belief system, there are numerous ways of avoiding that running on empty (false) concept.

             At our card altar right now is the perfect example, it was something I completely did not understand, and spent a lot (A LOT!) of time fighting against.  When we think we need more, we honestly can do with less.

             To gain Energy, and live in our Power, we simply open our hands and hearts, and Release.  The void is immediately filled with exactly what our soul is calling for.  Whether we know it consciously, or not.

“Letting Go  ~

‘I surrender joyously to the ebbing and flowing of life.’

Card meaning:

Surrender.  Relinquish control and allow Spirit to take over.  You don’t need to do everything by yourself.

All is well.  It’s time to just let it all go and enjoy the ride!  Doing so gives others permission to let go in their own lives.

The Universe wants you to know:

There are times to hold on for dear life, and times to simply throw your hands up and let go.  It’s time to release any limiting patterns, emotional attachments, or inner and outer clutter.

Surrendering doesn’t mean that you are yielding to a force outside of yourself.  It means that you’re allowing your soul to take over.  

Release the stress of needing to control things, wanting to determine the outcome of a situation, or expecting others to act in a certain way.  Thre is a simple grace and beauty that unfolds when you truly let go.

Loving spiritual help is all around you … simply open your heart and let it in.

Questions to ask yourself:

Is there anything I need to release?  Is there a person or situation I need to let go of?  Is there anyone who needs to let go of me?

Affirmation:

I surrender joyously to the ebbing and flowing of life.”

Sometimes, it just Is.

             For the past few nights, my dreams and visions have been filled with an uncomfortable mix of depressed and melancholic mood.  Not pleasant.

            Also, not sure where it’s all coming from, or even really, where it needs to go.  I’m feeling fine!  But clearly, that’s not what this is about.

            Being able to receive the images that I get, is never about me.  Obviously, it’s about others.  It’s about YOU!  (And to that end, I came across an enormously helpful tool yesterday, which will be at the end of this post.)

             Here’s what we need to address right now:

dealing with disappointment.

             On our path to Acceptance, not all of the travel-stops will be gardens and parks and fun rides.  Some pauses by the wayside will be somber spots.  Areas of contemplation and sadly, loss.

             Since we know how Joy feels, and it’s NOT the same as this, we have to understand that there is purpose to these intermissions of grief.  To sit in them, and absorb the fullness of it is the way through and out.

             There are merely times which we will be unhappy.  And that’s a fact (not a punishment).  Both sides of emotion are the ultimate Universal Truth.  It’s our reaction and healing that matters now.

             And within our regular rotation around the card altar we have a very soothing and uplifting illustration, with such a positive message to accompany it, we can’t help but be reminded of the duality (and circular movements) in all of Life.

             Never forget, there is always Hope, and there is always Tomorrow.

“Cultivating Prosperity  ~

‘The abundance of the Universe is pouring into my life!’

Card Meaning: 

A stream of abundance is ready to flow into your life, but you need to take action to receive it.  Believe that you deserve it.  Take steps forward by planting seeds for your future prosperity.

The Universe wants you to know:

Right now you are moving toward receiving an outpouring of money, energy, time, and love.  However, you must first know that you deserve it . . . and you do.

Take action in the direction of your dreams.  This is not the time to passively wait for prosperity to fall into your lap.  Give deeply and fully of who you are and what you have, for the more you truly give, the more you will receive.

It is a universal law.  As you focus on gratitude for what you already have, your abundance will grow in leaps and bounds.

Questions to ask yourself:

Am I truly open and ready for abundance to flow into my life?  What could I do to cultivate even more riches?  Is there a symbol in my life that could give me insight into what blocks my prosperity?  What is it saying?

Affirmation:

The abundance of the Universe is pouring into my life.”

Anti-Antagonistic

             Turns out, that which we struggle with the most, is our best lesson, the one with the longest lasting value.  I knew this, but, maybe I kinda didn’t.

             My own example is all about letting go, obviously.  So, while I constantly battle that gather-and-hold urge, I am really trying to muster Release.

             Like a friend of mine who began her own business, she detests paperwork.  And yet, her field is packed full of notes, insurance, and government licensing.  In other words: nothing BUT paperwork.

             She and I face our challenges all the damn time!    Because, see, that’s actually THE POINT.

Opposing our Opposites

             Every second, minute, hour, day, week, month, year, decade, these same learning opportunities exist.  They don’t go away!  The key is, what are we going to do about our attitude toward them?

             We address them.  Acknowledge their presence.  Then, we Relax.  Metaphorically.  Spiritually.  Physically, even.

             In a stress-free pose, we stand, feet slightly apart, head held high.  We extend our arms, hands open in peace and serenity.  We breathe.

             Because the opposite is a tense fist, our entire body a jumble of anxiety and clinched unhappiness.

             When we Release, we Relax.  We are then able to Receive.  And in Receiving, we have let go of the fight.  We’ve Accepted that gifts are more plentiful than sorrow and stress.  Exchanging versus Opposing.

             We are striving for a state of calm, of lovingkindness, which we can then share.  Yes, it’s on-going, this challenge and lesson.  And that’s due to the fact that Life is on-going.  But, if we live it hands open, breathing in and out, mindfully, with an attitude of gratitude, then the struggle diminishes.  The difficulties are diluted.  By the second, by the minute, by the hour, by the day, by the week, by the month, by the year and eventually, by the decade too.

             Returning to our regular rotation around the card altar, we have been presented with this helpful and complementary message, (which is also a bit reminiscent of yesterday’s calendar page).

“Sharing of Yourself  ~

‘I am an incredibly generous being.’

Card Meaning:

Share who you are with others.  Give what you have, what you do, and who you are.  Be generous.  The more freely and fully you share yourself, the more freely and fully the Universe will be to you.

The Universe wants you to know:

You need to share from the depths of your soul.  Allow others to see your essence and feel your radiance.  If you give with the thought that it’s something you must do as a duty or sacrifice, you may feel depleted.

However, if you give with the belief that there’s no scarcity of energy, funds, or joy, the Universe will pour an abundance of these things into your life.

Don’t expect to receive something in return – rather, be generous just because it feels right.  You can only give as much as your capacity to receive, so open yourself to receiving even more.

Questions to ask yourself:

How can I give even more?  What is stopping the flow within my life?  What could occur in my life if I gave without reservation?

Affirmation:

I am an incredibly generous being.”

Trying for Tranquility

             When I turned our card over today, I literally Laughed Out Loud; it could not BE more perfect for our current theme.  And if you know me in any way, you know that “silence” is probably the very LAST word that could be used to describe me.

            But, I knew that this draw was what we needed to be looking at right now, it just goes so well with all that I was shown this morning, it has everything to do with these same sentiments.

            (Also?  Oh, yeah, we got us a theme.)

Let go to bring in.

             When we open ourselves to quiet, contemplative moments, being still, we are becoming available to healing and lovingkindness.  When we create a void, it must be filled.  Combine these two Universal laws and we have our key for right now.

             Release what no longer serves.  Recharge in our stillness.  Receive the gifts that we so earnestly deserve.

“Stepping Into Stillness  ~

‘My power is born in the majesty of silence.’

Card Meaning:

Take a moment to enter into the silent, deep places within you.  Be still.  Let everything go, and focus on what is truly important.

Imagine spiraling down into the source of your essence.  Breathe deeply.  Allow your body to relax into the present moment, the here-and-now.

The Universe wants you to know:

Deep within you is an inner sanctuary.  Having this inner peace, however, doesn’t mean that there isn’t chaos or disharmony around you.

It means that no matter what is occurring in your life, you can observe it from a place of stillness.  Surrender to the sweet energy of quietude; avoid the temptation to embrace the drama and urgency of life.

Affirm that you have all the time you need.  Power is born in stillness, and your potential is dramatically expanding in the majesty of silence.

Questions to ask yourself:

What do I need to stop or surrender in my life?  How can I enter into my inner stillness?  As I become still, what will expand in my life; what will contract?

Today’s Sharing/Kitchen Adventures:

is a view from yesterday’s Instagram post.

Most of the collection we’ve amassed over the years.

             There are parts of Daniel’s uniform which don’t “wash” real well.  And yet, they need to be cleaned, or at least, refreshed.  A few years ago we invented our own product for general misting purposes.  It’s like the commercially available ones, but not filled with unpronounceable petroleum-based toxins.

             Spritzed on just about anything absorbent, our success-rate has been entirely positive, we continue to be wonderfully surprised.   (Not to mention, it’s stupid-cheap to make.)

             Basically, the ingredients are just cheap vodka, distilled/infused greenery (flowers, herbage from the yard), water, and a few drops of essential oils (he blended four this time).   The latest batch is beyond yummy.

             (Because I know some of you will ask: clary sage, rosemary, myrrh, and one other which escapes me now.)
