Unified

We all know that there is no such thing as coincidence.  We are here for a purpose.  We have charted this life for specific and sacred reasons.  When we come across (or, more accurately, are directed to) people and information it is intentional and focused.

I was recently fortunate enough to meet some incredible individuals (including these two, who had traveled half way around the world).  It was a gathering of like-minded souls.  A group of people who were drawn together for a healing experience.

Planning the trip, driving there and back, sitting in the space, interacting … it was all meaningful.  It also resulted in showing me how far I’ve come on this particular journey, as well as how (very!) far I still have to go.  It was educational.  And painful.  But, like our lives, it had purpose.

Yesterday, in between much family chaos (broken cars, lost phones, business upheaval), we landed in a shop called One World Eugene.  It’s at our local mall, and it’s recently moved down the lane into a newer, larger premises.

Turns out, I was sent there by the Universe.  So we could hear this message:

“39 Oneness

Mani Ratna Mudra

Assists:

spiritual union, balance, integration

Benefits:

supports and balances all of the systems of the body.  Directs breath and awareness throughout the body.  Opens crown chakra.

Instructions:

bend index fingers inward and touch the tips to thumbs.  Join thumbs and hands with base of the palms touching.  Extend other fingers open.  Relax shoulders and move elbows slightly away from body.

Focus:

I experience the oneness of everything.

Practice:

take a few slow and deep breaths of expansion.  Bring awareness to the crown of your head.  Feel the sides of the crown, the top of the crown.  Feel the breath moving in and out of the crown.

Expand light out from the crown of your head upwards.  With each inhalation, light expands outward.  See yourself as a fountain of light.

Notice your connection to the moon, the stars, and the sky above.  Feel your light reaching up to touch all of the these elements.  Feel the connection to the oneness of everything up above.”

Mudra for Awakening the Energy Body written by Alison DeNicola, illustrated by Sabina Espinet

For the past 5 or 6 weeks I have been investigating mudra* philosophy, and beginning a practice of the methods.  To find this deck, to pull this card, to go these places, to meet these people, to learn the name of that store ~ well.  It’s not by chance nor accident.

*Pronounced as meh-draw, with the accent hard at the beginning.  Or as mood-rah, with an uplift at the end.  I’ve heard both.  (You could also google it, and they’ll say the word outloud.)

Fear not.

Late last night, Dan and I were having a snack, as we do.  And because I’m a slob, much of my food ends up on my hands, which I then must go and wash.  Unfortunately (and yet unsurprisingly) I then become injured.

In the bathroom.  At the sink.  Because our liquid soap dispenser (which I think we got for all of one whole dollar millions of years ago) somehow malfunctions, and squirts cleaning solution (really a watered down version of some old bubble bath that I thought smelled nice) directly into MY EYE!  I’ll say this again, without the parenthetic asides:

I got liquid soap in my eye.

Detergent.  In.  And.  ON.  My.  EyeBALL!

At this exact moment, while I sit here typing, we’re going on 20 hours ago now, it is still not right.  I got through my pool class okay, and for once was glad that we didn’t have too much shiny sun outside to blind me as I pedaled.  My far-away vision ain’t all that great on the best of days, but this is NOT helping!

On the plus side, waking up wasn’t worse than yesterday.   Sleeping did improve the entire vision situation somewhat.  And I am ever-hopeful as every new day begins.  Our channeled message came in loud and clear:

memorialize; honour and remember those who have gone before.

In the comments yesterday there were so many outstandingly cool reactions and insightful replies.  It really makes me feel terrific that you all find such diverse meanings in these!

(An additional thanks to Karen Buys, for texting at exactly the right moment, with exactly the right message.)

On our card altar we have an über beautiful draw from that deck I continue to adore.  (This particular illustration may not be my favorite though.)

“Emerging into Grace  ~

‘I open my soul to grace.’

Card meaning:

All is well.  You can relax and let go, for your path is divinely guided.  Gifts from the Creator are pouring into your life.  Gratitude abounds.  A spirit of grace is softly unfolding in your life.

The Universe wants you to know:

In the stillness of retreat, the gifts of Spirit will emerge at your feet.  In gratitude and thankfulness, an opening into the deepest spiritual realms is occurring.  Simply be ready and be open, as waves of sacred love will pour into your heart.

Grace is growing within you so that, more and more, you serve as a safe sanctuary for others.

Questions to ask yourself:

How does the spirit of grace want to work in my life?  What has blocked it from filling my life in the past?  If I truly let go and open myself to grace, what will unfold?

Affirmation:

I open my soul to grace.”

Earlier today I was given an opportunity to try this.  It took some doing, I had to KEEP the reminders coming.  But it works.  I can’t see any situation where this won’t be a useful tool.
