In Allowance

             There’s a lot (a lot!) going on this week, globally/politically.  None of which I am currently capable of commenting on, nor addressing.

             Where I am putting my focus is towards spiritual stuff, emotional stuff, small stuff.

       Little gestures can mean so VERY much.  We truly do not realize how far a smile, a hug, a caring touch, or even a tiny gift can mean in someone else’s life.

             Here’s the word I keep hearing:

Contributing

             Maybe we’re the one to brighten a day?  Maybe we’re the one to change a path leading in a less-than positive direction?  Maybe, all we need to do right now is love our neighbors, be present, and help where we are able.

             The big shit?  We change it by starting small.  We change it by never giving up Hope.

             And on our card altar, the most recognized sign of inspiration has appeared.  The rainbow in this image was the first place my eyes landed when I flipped it over.  I said: thank you! to the entire world.

             In addition to complimenting our message beautifully, this is a tremendous validation.  It also comes with a very nice Affirmation we can carry with us in to the coming days.

The Light of Assurance

             We’ve discussed before how our charts work.  And that we’ve all set up a sort of blueprint of what this life will be about; the  basic way we will be living it.

             One of the most challenging and yet vastly important, aspects of this system is for us to have faith in the processes we initially created for ourselves.

             Here’s what I woke up with, feel free to sing along.

Over the Rainbow

             Because of our physical limitations, we don’t know what’s around that next corner, what’s on the other side of that door.  We can only hopeandprayandbelieve that our planning results in what’s best for everyone concerned.

             Even when we catch a glimpse of, or have a fleeting dream about, what some folks call Heaven, we still have to come back here and keep going forward.  Keep showing up for work.  Keep trying to pay the bills.

             It can make it difficult to recall our blueprint, and the fact that yes, everything really WILL be okay.  The truth is, if we merely look up, we can see that Rainbow after a downpour.  There’s that promise.  There’s that validation.

             It’s also a sign of Hope.  A recharge to get us through the next stress-inducing real-life battle.  We’ll all go Home, we’ll be over the rainbow.  When it’s time to go, we will go.

             For now, we take a tiny bit of that arc of colors and we hold it close.  We tuck it next to our heart.  Because when the clouds move in again (they always do) we’ll have our Rainbow.  No matter what the weather brings us.

             On our card altar right now, the Universe has brought us the prize at the rainbow’s end.

Rippling Out and Out, Over and Over

               Remember us talking about spiraling ever upwards?  Well, that’s part of today’s topic.

             There are repetitions in nature, which make them happen in all parts of our lives.  When we hear or see or are made aware of something specific over and over and over, that’s intentional.  The Universe is sending us a message.

             And because we are working with these limited physical bodies/brains, we need to be practically bombarded sometimes before we pay attention.

Pattern Finding

             When we retrace our steps, or walk the same road more than once, that’s not always a bad thing.  It’s probably for a really good reason.  (Even if we don’t have a fucking clue what that reason might be.)

             This is similar to our recent messages about slowing down and staying put.  Patterns and spiraling, since they are natural, are actually pretty easy to see.  As long as we pay attention, and know what to look for.

             If we don’t?  Fortunately, on our card altar right now, we’re getting just the help we need.

is to say that yesterday was my beautiful Seattle girl‘s birthday.  But, since Hanna no longer reads this blog, and some things are changing* around here soon, I chose to leave it off  the post.

             She’ll be here next week.  I should start cleaning last month right now.

*I’ll give you plenty of notice, I promise.

Real, and not.

             By now, you all know my feelings on the word (and belief in) “coincidence.”  It doesn’t exist.  Well, this morning that category doubled.

            We are now being reminded that there is another fictional concept that’s continually foisted upon us all.

There is no such things as perfect.

            Not in Nature, and certainly not in our damaged (and often harmful) culture.  The sooner we step away from this overly-promoted fiction, the healthier we’ll all be.

            It’s just so wrong to keep imagining that this is attainable.  Anywhere!  And with ANYthing.  Let it go, it was made up by folks who suffered from delusions.  We no longer need to follow what they brokenly believed in.

             Every situation is unique, as are we.  Once we’ve recognized the beauty in this fact, we can move forward.  To accept our wonderful quirky individuality is to be grateful for every aspect of our lives.  Not one bit of them perfect or even close to it.

            And on our card altar right now, within the regular rotation, we are being inspired by this delightful validation and uplifting guidance.

FLP Report:

begins with the hilarious example of a specialty Washington plate with the word “DUCKS” as its vanity choice (entertaining for those of us here, because in the college sports world, those two simply don’t go together), and one picturesque South Carolina (their palmettos remain my very favorite).  Not much this week, the weather has kept movement to a minimum, or at least in my case, visibility.

Existing Circumstances

             There are some of us who purchase pre-worn garments, and others who shop exclusively for new clothing.  What our message talks about today is the correlation between this observation, and how we deal with the lessons in our lives.

            Sometimes, the adventure of hunting down a piece of clothing is very similar to the drama/joy of walking our path.  We often end up with an item of great value in the process.

As Is

             When we accept that some things just ARE, then we don’t have to keep expecting them to be another way.  Used clothes shopping is a gamble, and it takes time.  New clothes shopping is also chancy, but maybe doesn’t have that lost-in-the-wilderness hunting feel to it.

             If one person has more time than money, and also feels like purchasing from big-box retailers is not a way she wants to live, that’s a perfectly valid choice.  Just as, if an individual has plenty of cash and wants to go out and acquire something new and shiny.

             It’s about choice, and options, and being able to say, with conviction and pride, that we stand on our own feet and we select from what is available.  We live with our path As it Is.  We accept that sometimes, an old pre-owned item might work as well as anything new and expensive.  Both will do the job.  It’s up to us to decide where we go to get it.

             In the regular rotation around our card altar right now, we’re being handed a validating gift.   And when we are presented with such, we say, thank you.
