Give Take Give

             Whether your family is the chosen type or the kind you’re born in to, it’s the place you should feel most at home.  Even if many of their numbers are miles away.

             And with the cases of distance, in order to be with some, we must often sacrifice them to stay close with others.  It’s a challenge, especially if your group is large.

              We can feel as though that cost is too high.  What is most helpful, in this and so much of our life is:

equilibrium.

             To find balance, is to find our true path, is to find comfort.  The times when we are in sync are the most joyous.  We feel unburdened and free.

              But how do we do that?  How do we find that composure and equality, for ourselves and for our loved ones?  How do we solve the issues of some getting more than others?

             One way is to let go of guilt, let go of what everyone is thinking (or, more precisely, what we THINK everyone is thinking).  None of that matters.  What’s important is to be honest, be caring, do the very best we can.

              This past week we were away from some loved ones, but spent time with another batch.  We made sacrifices, it cost a lot (time and dollars).  In the end, it was worth it.  It’s always worth it!

             Much like my theory of “buy the boots, spend the money” – looking back, we never regret the purchase (and every time, make more money).  We absolutely, and without fail, will regret NOT doing it.  Every stinkin’ time.

             Let go.  Take the trip.  Go see the people you care about.  You’re worth it.  And, if you miss them, they’re worth it, too!  Find your balance, pay the price.  And feel good about your choices.

              Here’s what I’m listening to tonight.  Turn up the music, dance, enjoy!  Spend your money and spend your time, in all the places where it matters most.

An Assorted Assemblage

             Since I’ve been spending a lot of time in a hotel lately (as my potential job), naturally travel has been on my mind.  The ideas of how we move through our lives.  How we ambulate, living our Journey.

             What came to me today was a view and a feeling, all of the layers and aspects of the gifts we receive along the way.

             It’s like a treasure hunt, really.   We’re gathering, we’re learning.  We are also releasing as we go.

Collecting

             Who we spend our time traveling beside, who our companions on this Adventure are, that matters.

             How we spend out time, leisure, work, recreation, obligatory, this also has great importance and impact.

             As we gather and collect our Tribe around us, what we’re doing together is part of the lesson, part of our learning and growing.  They matter, they have significance, these people and these activities.

              Before each step we take, the Universe wants us to remember, all of this is about the process, the Journey, the collections.

             As a brilliant validation, look what has appeared on our card altar.

             This one is so perfect for our message right now.  It’s the suit of inspiration.  It’s the number of infinity.  It’s the very illustration which captures our view of this Journey, through time and space, through living and learning.

             Look at all of the gifts we’ve gathered there!  Our friends, family, loved ones.  Our blessings, our challenges.  All lined up.  In just the most exact order, when and who and where we need at precisely the best time and place.

             This did fall with a bit of a tweak, and that merely tells us that when we’re feeling like maybe the progress has been delayed, it’s okay.  When, where, and with whom…… all will be the most perfectly timed.

True Freedom

             As I go about my life, doing what needs doing, and doing what I love to do, some learning happens along the way.  It’s like this for everyone, no doubt.  But not everyone’s job involves talking to dead people, seeing past lives, or sharing all that I (spiritually) hear.

             What I woke up with this morning was slightly different from the way messages have been arriving in the past year.  There were views that were less precise, but more directed.  I was made to know that there is . . . .

. . . . still judging.

             There are some among us who feel unworthy.  And that’s just sad.  We ALL deserve the best.  We ALL have the right to live in lovingkindness and full honesty.

             If we come across people who do not support us, well, we need to release them.  Let them, and their negativity, go.  Open our hands, and allow them to slip away.

             These are family members, you say?  I reply with, “so what?!”  If they are harmful, then they are harmful.  If they make us feel bad, then they have lost the privilege to be around us.

             As I stood before our card altar today, I was directed away from the regular rotation.  When I looked at this draw, I knew exactly why.

             What is family?  Answer: anything you want it to be.  To me, it’s a group of fellow humans who love me and I love them.  No more, no less.  Are all of mine related by blood?  Nope.  Because THAT is not what makes us care.

             When we spend time with people who cause us pain, in any way, we are cheating ourselves out of living a true and grace-filled life.  Family is valuable, especially the loving and genuinely non-judgement kind.

Good people, bad lives.

Two of the most beautiful and amazing young women I love are literally stuck in their shitty lives right now.  And there is nothing I can do to get them out!  It is frustrating me nearly to death!  Hanna, Deanna – mygawd I adore you both so much.  You are intelligent, worthwhile, brilliant, amazing and bright souls.  Why do you have to go through this shit?  With idiots at your sides?  What is it with life lessons that must always be so damn hard?  You are both drowning in un-recognized (and hence, un-marketable) talents!  If everyone knew the two of you as I do, we’d all be rich!  Why isn’t THAT our truth?  Hell Universe, what gives here???
